Cheetah: Starspot modeling code

Abstract: Cheetah models starspots in photometric data (lightcurves) by calculating the modulation of a light curve due to starspots. The main parameters of the program are the linear and quadratic limb darkening coefficients, stellar inclination, spot locations and sizes, and the intensity ratio of the spots to the stellar photosphere. Cheetah uses uniform spot contrast and the minimum number of spots needed to produce a good fit and ignores bright regions for the sake of simplicity.

Jan 2015: The version of Cheetah mentioned in the paper is in the process of being overhauled. The source code provided in the link is a work in progress and should be used with caution.
