Zenodo suggested to use their .re3data.org DOI as a reference. I see you have one too so it may be most consistent to use it, but I want to make sure you don't have your own preference.

I hadn't thought of using the re3data.org DOI as a reference and will take a look at that. We really should say how we want to be cited, shouldn't we?!!
It would be neat for this info the be somewhere (probably under about?). I guess the software used by ASCL is somewhat open (not sure how much you really had to develop stuff)? So would ASCL actually belong in ASCL (this is a nightmare for the search box I guess).

We've been working on a list of best practices for software registries this year and will soon be adding information, including how to cite the ASCL, over the next few months as we adopt these practices.
