SPH_1D: Hierarchical gravity/SPH treecode for
simulations of interacting galaxies
Kevin Olson
University of Chicago
Abstract:
Treecodes with hierarchical gravity are the primary simulations
tool for modeling interacting galaxies and simulating
galaxy formation. SPH_1D is an
excellent example of this type of code. This parallel code is highly
optimized for the Cray T3E and allows the use to simulate
system with both gas dynamics and gravity.
